Important changes to our server and Data Center products
We’re making changes to our server and Data Center products, including the end of sale for new server licenses on February 2, 2021 and the end of support for server on February 15, 2024 PT. Learn what this means for you.

Future server pricing

Overview

As a tenured customer, one or more of your server products is on an advantaged pricing plan, which is lower than list price.

We regularly review the market landscape, our product investments, and pricing to ensure list prices are competitive. After a previous change, we introduced advantaged pricing plans to ease tenured customers into list prices so that you do not have to absorb the impact in one go.

Taking a step towards bringing advantaged prices closer to list prices, we are increasing the price of renewals for the following server products on an advantaged pricing plan:

  • Jira Software Server
  • Confluence Server
  • Jira Work Management (Jira Core) Server

This change is effective February 15, 2022 PT.

For a step-by-step process on how to determine if your license is on an advantaged pricing plan, refer to the "How do I know if I am on an advantaged pricing plan?” FAQ.

This page provides FAQs related to price increases, detailed pricing tables by product and tier, and more information about our product investments in server this past year. If you would like to talk to us directly, please contact our support team.

Can I still upgrade my Server Starter licenses? Copy link to heading Copied! Show

Moving from a Server Starter license to a commercial license is considered a new sale, which means that as of February 2, 2021 PT (the end of new license sales), you are no longer able to upgrade to a 10+ user license. If more users are required, you will need to purchase a new cloud or Data Center subscription.

In cloud, we offer free plans that give you exactly what you need to hit the ground running and grow at your own pace. For customers on Starter licenses, these are a great option to consider moving to using our free cloud migration assistants and migration resources.

If I upgrade my tier on or after February 15, 2022 PT, will I have to pay new maintenance prices? Copy link to heading Copied! Show

You can no longer upgrade or downgrade your tier effective February 15, 2022 PT. If you wish to upgrade or downgrade your tier, you will need to move to Cloud or Data Center. Visit our migration center for more information on upcoming dates.

Why are you increasing the prices of your products? Copy link to heading Copied! Show

We regularly review the market landscape, our product investments, and pricing to ensure list prices are competitive. After a previous price change, we introduced advantaged pricing plans to ease tenured customers into list prices so that you do not have to absorb the impact in one go. Taking a step towards bringing advantaged prices closer to list prices, we are increasing our advantaged prices for Jira Software Server, Confluence Server, and Jira Work Management Server.

As previously communicated, we’re gradually increasing advantaged prices to match the most recent server list price increases, which are competitively priced relative to the market.

Will there be more price increases in the future? Copy link to heading Copied! Show

We do not make any commitments about changes to our pricing that may or may not occur in the future. As a business, we regularly evaluate our pricing and value to our customers relative to the market. Future pricing adjustments, if they occur, will be reflective of our continued investment in making your migration to cloud more seamless.
