Hosting options
With the cloud option, we host and setup your Atlassian product/s in the cloud for you. This is generally the best option for teams who want to get started quickly and easily, and don't want to manage the technical complexity of hosting themselves.
With the server option, you host your Atlassian product/s on your own hardware. This is generally the best option for teams who want to customize their setup and do not mind the complexity of hosting themselves.
Pricing for academic institutions
Academic pricing may be granted for Atlassian's server products to educational institutions, boards of education, public libraries, home-school programs, university affiliated research institutes and teaching hospitals, and government accredited training and teaching organizations.
If you're eligible for a discount, make sure to check the "Academic pricing" checkbox once you decide what products you would like to quote or purchase.
Pricing for students and teachers
Atlassian's free classroom licenses are designated for educational use by students and teachers within a classroom setting.
Classroom licenses may not be used for administrative and other non-classroom functions within an academic institution or for commercial purposes.
Open source project license
Atlassian supports and believes in the open source movement. Our software actually utilizes a number of open source components, which is why Atlassian software is free for any open source project to use. It's our way of giving back to the community (and hopefully to improve the quality of those open source projects too).

Non-profit and community license
Atlassian community licenses are designed for official organizations and charities which are not for profit, non-government, non-academic, non-commercial in nature, and have no religious affiliation.
Classroom license
Atlassian's free classroom licenses are designated for educational use by students and teachers within a classroom setting.
Classroom licenses may not be used for administrative and other non-classroom functions within an academic institution or for commercial purposes.
Tax exemptions for US customers
US sales tax will be applied to all taxable orders where valid exemption documentation has not been provided to Atlassian. A full list of taxable states and links to exemption forms can be found here.
If you are eligible for exemption, check the “I am tax exempt” box on the final confirmation page when saving a quote/order on our Quote & Order Form. This kicks off a manual review process where we may reach out to you for exemption documentation if we don’t have any on record. For existing quotes, please contact us with your exemption documentations and quote/order number (AT-XXXXXX) so we can apply your exemption status.
Tax exemptions for Japanese customers
In accordance with Japanese tax legislation, JCT is applicable on all taxable sales.
Please contact us with your VAT ID and quote number if you would like to apply a VAT ID to an existing quote.
Tax exemptions for EU and other customers
In accordance with EU, Iceland, Norwegian and South Korea VAT legislation, VAT will be applied only to orders in those countries where exemption documentation or a valid VAT ID has not been supplied at the time of payment. VAT in other countries such as Switzerland and South Africa is applicable on all taxable sales where a valid exemption documentation has not been provided to Atlassian prior to payment.

Purchase cloud monthly
If you wish to purchase a monthly subscription, please have your billing or technical contact add your credit card details to the account.
Login to your Atlassian Cloud account and go to: Settings (cog icon) Billing Payment Details to enter credit card details. Once this is done, you will be billed at the end of your evaluation period.

Purchase a server product
If you wish to purchase server licenses, please create an order through our secure quote & order form and specify your product/s, user tier, and maintenance period. Pay for your software immediately or save a price quote for later.
Once we receive payment, the primary billing and technical contact listed on the order will receive a confirmation email with directions to retrieve the new server licenses.
Pay by credit card
You can quickly make credit card payments through our secure online payments form (have your invoice number handy). We accept American Express, MasterCard and Visa.
Pay by bank transfer
Please see your quote/invoice for bank transfer details listed on the first page. Payment is to be made in US Dollars and the full amount remitted to our bank. Please instruct your Bank or any corresponding Bank - DO NOT CONVERT. Any additional fees are the sole responsibility of your company. It can take up to 5-7 business days for banks transfers to clear through our banking facilities. Remittance advice can be sent in the meantime to remittance@atlassian.com.

Pay by mailed check
Mailed checks can take up to 2 weeks to be received and processed by our financial institution.

Add a purchase order
Atlassian does not accept purchase orders as forms of payment. See the first page of your quote for payment options. Since our terms are Net-0 day/cash, we must receive payment before provisioning licensing updates or issuing license keys.
We are happy to reference a PO number on a quote for your internal tracking. When creating a new quote/order on our Quote & Order Form, on the final confirmation page, check the PO number box to add your PO number. For existing quotes, you can add a PO number through your My Atlassian account. Under the Orders tab find your quote and click the pencil icon to edit it.
Credit card payment problems
Financial providers often impose restrictions on foreign transactions. Since Atlassian is an Australian company, we recommend contacting your credit card provider to remove the restriction or purchasing with a different credit card if you've received a declined card email.
If alternate payment options are listed on the first page of your quote/invoice, please feel free to move forward with one of these other methods of payment.
Bank transfer, ACH or check payment problems
Since Atlassian is an Australian company, we recommend contacting your bank to remove any foreign transaction restrictions that may be in place. It can take up to 7-10 business days for bank transfers or mailed checks to clear through our banking facilities. Remittance advice can be sent in the meantime to remittance@atlassian.com.
If you would like to pay by credit card instead, you may do so using our secure online payments form (have your invoice number handy).
Update credit card for cloud
If you are a site administrator, you can update credit card details for your subscription within the admin section of your Atlassian Cloud. Go to Settings (cog icon) Billing Payment Details to update credit card details.
(OR: If you are a billing or technical contact you can login to My Atlassian, find your account and click to expand. Click the 'Provide Payment Details' link to update credit card details.)
The new card will be charged on the next billing date. If your account is past due, the credit card will be charged once it is updated.
Update credit card for server
If you're listed as a billing or technical contact on your product/s, you can update credit card details for auto-renew payments via your My Atlassian account - be sure to log in first using your Atlassian ID.
Under 'Licenses' find your product/s and click to expand. Click 'Turn Auto-Renew On', enter the requested information, and click 'Save Auto-Renew Settings'. The new card will be charged on the next renewal date.
Paid invoices for cloud
If you're listed as the primary billing or technical contact at the time payment was processed you will receive an email order confirmation with a link to download your invoice.
Additionally, if you're the primary contact you can find your invoice in your My Atlassian account under the 'Orders' tab - you will need to log in first using your Atlassian ID.

Refunds for cloud
Refunds for Atlassian Cloud are only available within the first paid month for monthly subscriptions. For annual subscriptions, refunds can be processed within 30 days of payment received.
If you have canceled your cloud subscription within the time frames specified above please contact us to request a refund.

If changes are made, the primary billing contact will be emailed a preview of the bill three days before the end of the billing cycle. The site administrator(s) can always disable users or manage application access prior to the renewal date to downgrade the current user tier.

Change cloud contacts
Current billing and technical contacts have the ability to make changes to license contacts within their My Atlassian account. Once logged in, find your product under the 'Licenses' tab and click to expand. You will see technical and billing contacts that you can add, remove or update.
Site Admins can make themselves a billing contact directly from within the Cloud instance. Navigate to the Site Administration page where you'll see Billing Overview. There, you'll find your upcoming billing estimate, as well as the ability to Make Me A Billing Contact, see instructions. You can also add a separate email address for receiving copies of invoices.
Change server contacts
Current billing or technical contacts have the ability to make changes to license contacts within their My Atlassian account.
Once logged in, find your product under the 'Licenses' tab and click to expand. You will see technical and billing contacts that you can add, remove or update.
Extend cloud trial
Atlassian Cloud can be evaluated free for 7 days. Please contact us if you would like to have your evaluation extended to 14 days (maximum).
Should you decide Atlassian Cloud is not for you, we offer full refunds during the first month of paid service.
Extend server trial
We're happy to extend your server product evaluation period for up to 90 days. You can extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key within your My Atlassian account. Please apply your new license key to your server.
Extend third-party app trial
Many marketplace apps are provided by a third-party and we cannot extend these trials on your behalf. If you would like to extend an app trial you can do so on the Atlassian Marketplace.

Cancel cloud product
If you're a site administrator, you can leverage the "Cancel my site" link directly from the Cloud instance by navigating to Settings (cog icon) Billing Manage Applications.
Alternatively, if you're listed as a billing or technical contact on your product/s you can cancel your cloud subscription within your My Atlassian account. Once logged in, find your account under the 'Licenses' tab, click to expand, and click the 'Cancel subscription' link.
Cancel server product
You do not need to cancel your server products, simply do not renew at the end of your maintenance period.
