Future Data Center pricing
Overview & FAQs
Advantaged pricing is below list price and was introduced as a way to gradually ease tenured customers to list price over time, so you do not have to absorb the impact in one go. As we take steps towards bringing advantaged prices closer to list, we are increasing prices on the following products by an average of 15%:
- Jira Software
- Confluence
If you are not sure if you are on an advantaged pricing, please read this FAQ.
This page provides FAQs related to the price increase, detailed pricing tables with the new pricing by product and tier, and more information about our product investments in Data Center this past year. If you would like to talk to us directly, please contact our support team.

The price changes will take effect on your next renewal on or after February 15, 2023 PT. |
Atlassian Marketplace apps are not part of this pricing change. Marketplace Partner (3rd party) app pricing is determined by the app developer and therefore prices are always subject to change. Questions regarding pricing changes for Marketplace Partner (3rd party) apps should be directed to the app developer, who can be contacted using their information located in the Atlassian Marketplace. |
We introduced advantaged pricing as a way to bring tenured customers to list over time, making it possible to plan for price changes instead of being brought to list all at once. Our list prices are competitive compared to the market, and advantaged prices are below list for several product plans. These pricing updates also reflect enhancements across our Data Center products focused on improving performance at scale, increasing native product capabilities and end-user value, and extending the flexibility and control of your instances. |
Yes, we introduced advantaged pricing as a way to bring tenured customers to list over time, making it possible to plan for price changes instead of being brought to list all at once. When price changes occur, we will always share these prices in advance so that customers have time to review and make the right decisions for their business, such as locking in current prices, or an early renewal for those who qualify. |

Billing & licensing questions
To calculate your updated annual price, you need to be a billing and/or technical contact on a paid invoice. Log into my.atlassian.com and follow these steps:
A note on annual pricing: Atlassian uses a fixed price tiered model for annual pricing. For example, Jira Software with 450 users would be calculated at the 500 user tier for an annual cost of $27,000. For additional clarity, consider the following scenario: if you add 75 users to your 450 users on Jira Software, you would now have a total of 525 users. This puts you in the 1,000 user tier at $45,700 annually - you would not pay for the 450 users and the 75 users separately in their respective tiers. Please note that annual tiered pricing varies across Atlassian products and plans. |
You can continue to renew your Data Center subscription for up to two years. Contact us to discuss your options in more detail. |

Contact us to discuss your options for locking in a 12 or 24 month term. |
If your subscription expires and/or you renew before February 15, 2023 PT, you will be on current pricing. If your subscription expires or is renewed on or after February 15, 2023 PT, you will be placed on the new pricing. |
Academic discount percentages will remain the same. Qualifying collegiate-level or higher academic institutions can receive 50% off commercial prices for new purchases, upgrades, and renewals of Atlassian products. |
Community discount percentages will remain the same. Qualifying charitable non-profit organizations that are non-government, non-academic, non-commercial, non-political, and have no religious affiliation can still receive Community licenses at no cost. Additionally, you can migrate to a Cloud Community subscription at a 75% discount from Cloud list pricing. |
We will gradually be bringing advantaged prices closer to list, but cannot share any specifics about the timing of future price changes. When, and if price changes occur, we will always share these changes in a timely manner so that you have time to review and make the right decisions for your business. |
Because your 24-month subscription has not expired, there is no immediate impact to your bill. If you upgrade or renew on or after February 15, 2023 PT, your pricing will be based on the new advantaged prices with the applicable loyalty discount percentage. |
