Lead Principal Software Engineer, Project Management Portfolio Products

Apply for this job

Atlassian's mission "to unleash the potential of every team" is the guiding light behind what we do. We have developed well-known products such as Jira, Confluence, and Trello, that fit into the fabric of teamwork across different types of teams and the processes to help every team succeed. Atlassian helps teams everywhere change the world. Our products are revolutionizing the software industry, and helping teams collaborate and create the magic that provides their best work. Think NASA launching the Rover on Mars or Cochlear gifting those born deaf with the ability to hear, your work directly impacts the products they use to promote humanity.

We are transforming project management and making it accessible to everyone through simplification while ensuring that we continue to provide advanced features to those who need it with the same simplicity through products like Jira Work Management and Trello. The scale of use cases requires us to build advanced systems that handle advanced use cases with the same performance as the simplest. Moreover, the systems should also adapt to the evolution of use cases as industry best practices evolve.

We're looking for a Lead Principal Software Engineer to provide architectural oversight and technical leadership to our growing product engineering organization. You will have the product gene to understand customer use cases naturally and you will bring a wealth of experience in architecting complex cloud-scale systems. While your expertise will be in technology and you will be comfortable at all depths of technology, when needed you will also have the ability to wear a strategic hat and communicate like a product manager. You will need to be comfortable working with senior leadership and in navigating cross-org challenges.

Compensation

At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs.
