Overview
Atlassian OnDemand offers the ultimate in flexibility, allowing you to pick and choose the combination of applications and user counts that best align with your needs. There are, however, some general rules that you should be aware of:
- Atlassian OnDemand comes in two flavors: the Confluence family and the JIRA family.
- Bamboo requires JIRA to be purchased (management of the JIRA family suite is performed via JIRA).
- Bitbucket requires JIRA to be purchased.
- Confluence may be purchased standalone or integrated with a JIRA family purchase.
- If you elect to evaluate or use JIRA with your Confluence installation, you will not have the option to later remove JIRA*. JIRA should only be selected if you intend to continue using it.
- Applications (JIRA & Confluence) may be purchased in any available combination of user counts - they do not need to match.
- Bamboo is sold per agent, not per user. Bamboo usage requires an Amazon EC2 account - for more, please see the Bamboo EC2 overview.
- Add-Ons (GreenHopper, Bonfire, Gliffy, Tempo, Team Calendars) must be purchased in a user count matching the parent product (JIRA or Confluence).
- Google Apps integration is available only with JIRA-family purchases. Confluence standalone does not currently support Google Apps integration*.
* We hope to remove this limitation in the near future.
