Mike Cannon-Brookes is the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Atlassian, a collaboration software company that helps teams organize, discuss and complete shared work. More than 150,000 large and small organizations across the world, including companies like Spotify, NASA, Mercy Ships, Sotheby's and Visa use Atlassian’s collaboration products to help their teams work better together.

Mike was the youngest person ever to be awarded the ‘Australian Entrepreneur of the Year’ in 2006 by Ernst & Young alongside Co-Founder and Co-CEO Scott Farquhar. In 2016 they were awarded Australian Financial Review's 'Australian Business Person of the Year' and in 2017 Forbes named them on their ‘Global Game Changers’ list. Mike was recognised by the World Economic Forum as a ‘Young Global Leader’ in 2009.

Outside Atlassian, Mike is a technology investor in the areas of software, fintech, agriculture, and energy and sits on the board of Zoox. He also cares deeply about giving back and sits on the board of Room to Read.  A passionate clean energy evangelist, Mike was a driving force behind Australia getting the world's biggest lithium-ion battery and the "Fair Dinkum Power" movement. 

He serves as an adjunct professor at the University of New South Wales' School of Computer Science and Engineering and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Information Technology from the University of New South Wales, Australia.

Scott Farquhar is the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Atlassian, a collaboration software company that helps teams organize, discuss and complete shared work. More than 150,000 large and small organizations, NFPs, and government agencies across the world, including companies like ANZ bank, Spotify, Twilio, Mercy Ships and Visa use Atlassian’s collaboration products to help their teams work better together.

In 2015, Scott helped spearhead Pledge 1%, a corporate philanthropy movement dedicated to making the community a key stakeholder in every business. 10 000 companies around the world have now joined.

Scott was the youngest person ever to be awarded the ‘Australian Entrepreneur of the Year’ in 2006 by Ernst & Young alongside Co-Founder and Co-CEO Mike Cannon-Brookes. In 2016 both Scott and Mike Cannon-Brookes were awarded Australian Financial Review's 'Australian Business Person of the Year' and in 2017 Forbes named them on their ‘Global Game Changers’ list.

Outside of Atlassian, Scott co-founded a private investment fund, Skip Capital, which focuses on fast-growing technology companies, with a particular interest in the intersection of big data and health. Scott holds a BSc (Business Information Technology) from the University of New South Wales, Australia.

Jay Simons

Jay Simons is the president of Atlassian. 

He joined the company in 2008 as vice president of sales and marketing to lead Atlassian's pioneering efforts to develop a high-velocity, low-touch sales model. Jay's overseen the company's global expansion, introduction of its Starter License program (a disruptive approach to "freemium" where the company donates all proceeds to a charitable cause), and its growing worldwide customer community and programs.

Jay has more than 20 years of experience in the software industry. He began his career at Plumtree Software where he held a variety of senior marketing and sales roles. Significantly, Jay oversaw the company's expansion throughout Europe and Asia Pacific. When Plumtree was acquired by BEA Systems in 2005, Jay became vice president of marketing for BEA Systems, which was later acquired by Oracle in 2008.

Jay serves on the board of directors for HubSpot and holds a bachelor's degree in political and environmental science from the University of Washington.

Sri Viswanath

Chief Technology Officer

Sri Viswanath is the chief technology officer (CTO) at Atlassian. Sri joined the company in January 2016 and is at the helm of Atlassian's cloud-native journey – assuming responsibility over the building and scaling Atlassian's cloud platform. Before joining Atlassian, Sri served as CTO and senior vice president of engineering at Groupon, the vice president of R&D for mobile computing at VMware, and the senior vice president of engineering at Ning – where he was instrumental in the company's acquisition by Glam. He also led development of a number of very successful open-source and B-to-B products at Sun Microsystems, served on the Board of Directors for SendGrid, and has a number of patents.

Sri currently serves on the Board of Directors for Splunk and holds a M.S. in Management from Stanford University and a M.S. in Computer Science from Clemson University.

James Beer

James Beer

Chief Financial Officer

James Beer is the chief financial officer (CFO) at Atlassian, overseeing all of Atlassian's finance and IT organizations. 

Before joining Atlassian, James served as executive vice president and CFO of McKesson Corporation, a Fortune 10 healthcare services and information technology company. During his four-year tenure at McKesson, James was responsible for all of the company's financial functions and was a member of the executive committee. Between 2006 and 2013, James was executive vice president and CFO of Symantec Corporation, where he managed the worldwide finance organization. Previous to his work at Symantec, James was chief financial officer of AMR Corporation and American Airlines, AMR’s principal subsidiary. In his 15 years at American Airlines, James held a variety of management positions in finance and marketing operations, including leading the airline’s European and Asia Pacific businesses. 

James holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Imperial College, London University, and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.

He currently serves on the board of directors for Alaska Air Group, parent company of Alaska Airlines and Virgin America, and ForeScout Technologies, Inc. He is also a member of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco's Economic Advisory Council.

Amy Glancey

Chief of Staff

Amy has an undergraduate degree in Communications and Masters in Journalism (with Distinction). She boasts over a decade of professional communications and marketing experience spanning APAC, U.S.A and UK. Amy joined Atlassian as Director of Communications in 2016 and took on the Chief of Staff role in 2019. Prior to this, Amy was at Groupon for four years where she led the communications team across 14 markets in APAC.

Erika Fisher

General Counsel

Erika Fisher is the General Counsel at Atlassian.

Erika first joined Atlassian in 2016, serving in multiple roles including legal counsel, privacy and product counsel and Head of Privacy before becoming General Counsel in July 2019. Prior to Atlassian, Erika spent two years at Goodwin Procter LLP, focusing primarily her practice on technology companies and intellectual property transactions. Prior to Goodwin Procter, Erika was an associate in the Miami offices of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, where she worked on real estate and structured finance transactions. Erika began her legal career as a judicial intern in both the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

Erika holds a Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from the University of Pennsylvania where she was awarded the Silverman-Rodin merit scholarship, a Certificate in Business and Public Policy from the Wharton School, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Miami where she was member of the Foote Fellows Honors Program.
