From scattered feedback to confident product decisions
Every product team collects feedback. Very few turn it into something they can actually act on. Join Mehdi Boudoukhane as he shares what he learned building feedback systems for hundreds of product teams, and what most of them were getting wrong.
Feature requests pile up in spreadsheets. Customer quotes get paraphrased into two-word tickets. Upvote portals strip away the context that would have made the feedback useful. And somewhere along the way, the people contributing that feedback stop bothering, because nothing ever comes back.
In this session, Mehdi Boudoukhane shares practical lessons from six years of building feedback tools used by hundreds of teams, and what he's learned since joining Atlassian to lead the development of the feedback app.
You'll learn how to:
- Treat feedback as evidence for decisions, not a list of things to build.
- Structure a feedback taxonomy so every piece of feedback has a home and an owner.
- Spot what makes feedback systems quietly fail, and reduce capture friction so the richest feedback doesn't stay locked in people's heads.
- Close the loop with customers, which is not a nice-to-have but the thing that keeps the entire system alive.
- Get a first look at how Atlassian is rethinking feedback as part of the recently announced Product Collection.
