Atlassian Backup and Restore is a native, policy-based backup and recovery solution for Atlassian Cloud. It lets organizations centrally define backup policies (what to back up and how often) and then quickly restore Atlassian app data after customer‑owned incidents such as accidental deletion or data corruption, helping maintain business continuity and support compliance needs.

It lets organizations centrally define backup policies (what to back up and how often) and then quickly restore Atlassian app data after customer‑owned incidents such as accidental deletion or data corruption, helping maintain business continuity and support compliance needs.

At general availability, Atlassian Backup and Restore has explicit size limits for each app:

• Jira (incl. Jira Service Management)* sites up to 300 GB app data and 7M attachments
• Confluence sites up to 32 GB app data and 7M attachments

You cannot purchase Atlassian Backup and Restore for a site in excess of these limits, however, you can reach out to your account team who’ll put you in contact with the product team who’ll work with you as we continue to increase our limits.

Atlassian Backup and Restore backs up most core entities for Jira, Jira Service Managmenet, and Confluence. For complete list of entities that are backed up please go here.

Backup and Restore is a paid add‑on, priced per app and per user, and only available for apps on Premium or Enterprise plans (annual billing). For specific app pricing please see our pricing page.
