Once your team starts using navigating Confluence, you’ll notice a fast improvement in efficiency and teamwork.
- Start at your home dashboard to find recent spaces and pages
- Use the menu at the top to move between spaces or visit the people directory
- At the top, also see a list of your apps or create a new page
- Stay up-to-date with site-wide announcements, calendars, and your site’s activity feed
Browse the feed to discover a treasure trove of recent and popular content
Tap [ on your keyboard to show or hide the sidebar, and simply drag and drop pages anywhere along the page tree to reorder them within a space.
Use quick & advanced search
From any published page, simply type / to bring up the quick search bar.
- When first opened, the quick search bar displays recently viewed content and spaces.
- Begin typing into the search bar to retrieve a suggested list of options based on keywords identified in a page title, person, space name, or file. Items are ordered with the most recently updated first.

If you don't immediately see what you need, press Enter or choose the Advanced search option at the bottom.
Advanced search lets you sort through multiple results faster.
- Similar to Google, relevant results will begin to show up as soon as you start typing.
For lengthy search results, filter by space, contributors, content type, and more.
To jump back into content quickly, click Recent in the top navigation bar or Home for a feed summarizing recently viewed pages by you, popular content throughout the company, or other activity you’re following.
