Fisheye and Crucible End of Support
Fisheye and Crucible have been in maintenance mode since 2020, and we have seen a growing trend of customers moving towards newer software development technologies, methodologies, and products. As our last remaining server products, this decision is in line with our strategic move to phase out server products as we enhance our focus on cloud solutions. Customers with existing Fisheye and Crucible licenses will be able to renew until May 15, 2028. |
To ensure you have ample time to plan for this change, we will provide three years of support and maintenance for Fisheye and Crucible, ending on May 15, 2028. If you wish to continue using Atlassian products and currently use Git for source code management, we recommend transitioning to either Bitbucket Data Center or Bitbucket Cloud. Atlassian’s partner, Sourcegraph, offers a Code Search product that provides similar search and insights functionality to Fisheye, as well as symbol-based, semantic search and precise code navigation. More information can be found here. In addition to Sourcegraph, there are several Marketplace apps that include functionality components of Fisheye and Crucible: Please contact us to learn more about your options. |

Support for Fisheye and Crucible products and apps will end on May 15, 2028. After this date, while your products and apps will continue to operate as they currently do, they will no longer be eligible for renewals or support. This means they will remain in their last downloaded version without additional updates, enhancements, or security patches, and will not benefit from new features or improvements. Over time, Fisheye and Crucible will become increasingly outdated in terms of performance and compatibility with new technologies. More importantly, they may become vulnerable to security threats, as neither Atlassian nor Marketplace Partners will provide technical support, security updates, or bug fixes for critical vulnerabilities after May 15, 2028. This could pose significant security and operational risks for your organization. |
