Atlassian Summit is less than 90 days away. Thinking about attending? Then you’ve come to the right place; for the next few months leading up to Atlassian Summit, we’ll be publishing interviews and guest posts from our speakers and sponsors on our blogs.
Interview with Heather Mardis and Brian Tarbox of Motorola on their talk, Making the Switch: One Team’s Story of Adopting JIRA, FishEye, Eclipse and Mylyn.
What are your titles and roles within the organization?
- Brian Tarbox, Principal Staff Engineer
- Heather Mardis, Build & Release Engineer
What product(s) will you be presenting at Summit?
Eclipse integration with JIRA, Perforce, FishEye, Mylyn.
How is your team using these tool(s)?
We have recently migrated to JIRA for defect tracking after using it for Action Item tracking. The FishEye integration ties our Perforce change sets directly to issues. The Eclipse integration allows developers to do all their work from one place.
Please give us a short preview of your presentation.
We will be showing some best practices for migrating to JIRA, FishEye with Perforce, and then showing some innovative ways to use JIRA along with other tools to increase development speed by sharing code base knowledge.
What do you hope to get out of Summit yourself?
We want to hear about Atlassian products we might not currently be using or new ways to use the tools we do have. We are interested in what new plug-in work is going on in the user community as well.
Join us at Atlassian Summit from June 9-11 in San Francisco as hundreds of our customers and partners from around the world join us for case studies, networking, training, plugin demos and more. Register today — “early bird” pricing ends on April 15, 2010.
