“AIIA congratulates the winners of the 2009 iAwards as they have demonstrated clever ways to solve the challenges Australian and global industries are facing, through the use of ICT.”

– Ian Birks, AIIA CEO

Down in Melbourne last night, the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) recognised Australia’s most outstanding ICT innovators last night when it announced the winning entries for the 2009 iAwards.
We were thrilled to see Jira recognised in the Tools and Infrastructure section. The iAward was presented to the most innovative solution that provides tools for the management or creation of hardware or software infrastructure.
The awards were presented at the 2009 iAwards Gala Dinner and were presided over by Victorian ICT Minister, the Honourable John Lenders. Unfortunately we couldn’t make it down to Melbourne this time, as we’ve been busy prepping for our own awards at Atlassian Summit next week – The Charlies. Hopefully we’ll make it down later in the year when Jira will represent Australia at the Asia Pacific ICT Awards (APICTA).
