Encouraging adoption of an enterprise wiki can be a challenge. One way to increase adoption of your wiki is to provide some templates to your users to give them a head start in creating their wiki pages. In Confluence 3.2 we made some key improvements to Confluence page templates, including the ability to import a bundle of page templates.

Page Template Bundles

Confluence 3.2 ships with a default bundle that includes the following default templates to help your users quickly create pages that need to be created often:

• Charts
• Document List
• Induction Task List
• Meeting Notes
• Multimedia Content
• RSS News Feed
• Tasklist
• Three-Column Layout
• Two-Column Layout

Your Confluence Administrator can import all or some of these templates by navigating to the ‘Import Templates’ menu in the ‘Confluence Administration Console’. See the image below and refer to our documentation for full instructions.

More Page Templates

If you are using Confluence as an intranet you may want to install and import the Human Resources and Software Development template bundles which are available on the Atlassian Plugin Exchange.

If you have some of your own home-grown templates that you would like to share, create your own template bundle and publish it on the Atlassian Plugin Exchange.
