Do you get frustrated when you miss an important blog post on Confluence? You either miss seeing it on the Recently Updated list on the Dashboard, or you don’t get around to reading your RSS feeds. Well I know I do, so I thought I’d share a little secret with you and show how you can put those must read blog posts in front of every users’ eyes. Let me explain how…
Site Welcome Message
The top-left section on the Confluence Dashboard, above the list of Spaces, is reserved for the Site Welcome Message, and guess what, you can change it to whatever you like!
The short video below shows you how to create a page displaying blog posts that have a particular label, using the Blog Posts Macro. Then all you have to do then is include that page in the Site Welcome Message using the Include Page Macro. It’s dead simple. You could do the same for pages with the Recently Updated Macro, embed a crazy picture or even a daily tip. You’re in complete control.

Now you know how it’s done, what will you be using the Site Welcome Message for? Post your examples as screenshots on this blog.
