We’re excited to announce the release of GreenHopper 5.6. The latest version of our agile planning tool for JIRA adds features and improvements that both end users and administrators alike will enjoy while card creation and task management are easier than ever.

Improved inline editing and auto-complete

In GreenHopper 5.6 you can now easily edit text fields, such as Summary and Description, on cards by simply clicking once in those fields.

We have also improved the Reporter and Assignee fields with better auto-completion and performance on issue cards. All this means card creation – and editing – are faster than ever!

Unscheduled Task Board

GreenHopper displays issues from any version you choose on the Task Board, but we’ve added the ability to select ‘unscheduled’ issues – those with no fix version set. We’ve been testing this in GreenHopper Labs, and it is especially useful for teams using GreenHopper for Kanban or for projects with no concept of iterations. This means for the Unscheduled Task Board you can take advantage of the ‘release from Done’ feature, which allows teams to avoid creating versions prior to starting their work!
