On the back of Atlassian’s attendance at Google I/O 2010, this is one of two guest blog posts highlighting Android based Jira clients. This post comes from Chris N. Diaz of PuguaSoft.

PocketJira adding support for Android
PocketJira is an application that lets you access Jira issues on your mobile device, including the BlackBerry and now Android. With PocketJira, you can work on your Jira issues from practically anywhere.
PocketJira for the BlackBerry has been out for a few months now and a port to the Android platform was started just a couple weeks ago. An early alpha version of the Android port has been released in support of Atlassian’s invitational exhibition at Google IO 2010. PocketJira for Android includes the following features:

View favourite filters View projects View issue details
and comments
Add new comments Search issue by key

PocketJira for Android will soon include the full feature set currently being enjoyed by BlackBerry users. This includes creating new and editing existing issues, workflow actions (e.g. open and close issues, start progress), viewing and adding work logs, and more. PocketJira currently works with Jira versions 3.13 and higher and uses the Jira XML-RPC and Soap services plugins to communicate with your Jira server.
