This interview is with Barney Bolt of Chordiant.. He will be speaking on a session entitled Three Uses of Jira Beyond Bug Tracking.
What’s your title and role within the organization?
Vice President of Support/Sustaining & Existing Application Development (EAD).
What product(s) will you be presenting at Summit?
We have created a support issue tracker with Jira and some customizations.
How is your team using these tool(s)?
Beyond the normal R&D world the hybrid Jira product that we use at Chordiant Software is to maintain transparency company wide for all product related customer issues. Out tool is named CPR (Chordiant Problem Resolution) tool and it is the best of the breed. After failed attempts at name brand issue trackers we set out to build our own.
Please give us a short preview of your presentation.
The Chordiant preso will be to demonstrate the features and functionality of the CPR tool. We have taken the ootb Jira product and customized to meet the CHRD business needs. We will show how it integrates with Salesforce.com and how it is the most robust but least costly tracking tool.
What do you hope to get out of Summit yourself?
To meet others out there that are in the process of creating such a tool or the greatest hope is to meet others that have done similar things with regards to customizations. Of course free coffee cake is nice too 😉 .
