At Atlassian Summit 2010, Seb Ruiz delivered a great 10-minute lightning talk about ShipIt Days at Atlassian.
During ShipIt Days, Atlassian developers have 24 hours to build and deliver a working software prototype. They’ve produced a ton of cool features that eventually made it into shipping products (as well as producing a lot of empty beer bottles and pizza cartons). At the end, everyone presents their software in front of the company, and Atlassians vote for their favorite ShipIt “delivery”.
