Accelerating DoD Impact Level 5

When it comes to IL5 timelines, we’ve heard you: the sooner, the better. That’s why we’re pulling forward our submission for IL5 authorization by six months to July 2028, with FedRAMP High submission following in January 2029. At launch, these deployment options will include Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management, Rovo, and Guard. This acceleration was made possible by increasing our engineering investment and by establishing a dedicated public sector organization with its own leadership, resources, and accountability. Building new deployment options for additional requirements

Over the past few years, we’ve been building an expanding spectrum of cloud deployment options — from FedRAMP Moderate and Isolated Cloud to IL5 and FedRAMP High. With every new option we build, we remain focused on one goal: delivering the full power of the Atlassian AI platform while meeting the highest standards of compliance.

For customers whose mission-critical data requires complete network isolation, including those operating at IL6 and above, we’re going even further. We are committed to delivering a fully disconnected, air-gapped deployment of Atlassian’s core platform. We’re currently in technical design with strategic US government partners to ensure this solution meets the real-world requirements of the most sensitive workloads.
