Astute observers of the Atlassian website may have noticed that we launched online trials of JIRA and Confluence last week, enabling easy evaluations of our products without the need to download and install them. You can sign up and immediately start using JIRA or Confluence, free and without risk for 30 days. And after 30 days, if you like it so much that you decide to keep using it, you can convert your evaluation to JIRA Hosted or Confluence Hosted at a low monthly rate without any downtime, migration or loss of data.

This online self-service tool was the result of many months of work, as well as the construction of a whole new infrastructure to permit automatic, five-minute deployments. With the launching of this program, we are at the same time moving to discontinue our Confluence Hosted for Small Business service. Consolidating and automating our hosted services to a single platform has been our long-term vision, and placing JIRA Hosted, Confluence Hosted, and JIRA Studio into a single managed framework will allow us to achieve economies of scale and better pass these savings on to our customers. Confluence Hosted for Small Business customers will be migrated to the new infrastructure and will be able to enjoy all the additional benefits of their own Confluence instance.

Always wanted to try out our products, but been too afraid to start? With our new no-risk 30-day trials, there’s never been a better time to try out JIRA and Confluence.

Note: All Confluence Hosted for Small Business customers have been emailed with further details regarding the transition to new systems. If you are a customer and have not been contacted, or have more questions, please contact us.
