In case you missed it in TechWorld last week Nick Good, Head of Technology Efficiency and Field Teams at Virgin Media, was tasked with tracking inefficiencies across the organization.
Nick sent a team of internal “technical specialist” consultants to visit different business departments, including call centers and retail locations, and even to follow engineers on house calls. The pilot for this project had been carried out using spreadsheets, which Nick described as an “absolute nightmare”. That’s when Nick turned to JIRA.
“JIRA struck a good balance between simplicity, flexibility, and extensive reporting,” said Nick. “It made it possible for us to quantify why each issue needed to be resolved and how best to prioritize each and every one of them.”
