Smart Commits

Smart commits give you the option of adding commands or syntax to commit messages. For those using FishEye and Crucible, there is a command to create a review for all the changes associated with a commit without going to the Crucible interface.

It is as simple as adding the following syntax at the end of your commit message:

+review <Project Key>

What smart commits would you want to add to the list?

Issue Transitioning from Crucible

A common -repetitive- task that comes up is the close relationship between the Crucible review workflow and the JIRA issue workflow. Often times when a user closes (summarizes) a Crucible code review they jump to JIRA to close the linked issue. Now you can transition the issue linked to a review from Crucible and avoid jumping between the applications to do workflow transitions.

Are there other tasks that are repetitive or involve context switching that you would like to see tighter integrations between FishEye, Crucible and JIRA? Let us know.
