In August we announced that we are turning our User Group program over to the community. Our goal was to build a community of users that would meet regularly (at least 4 times a year), in every neck of the woods. We help out by offering some great organizer benefits and promotional assistance.
How did it go?
Today, there are Atlassian user groups being run in 10 cities across the globe. Groups large and small have met to discuss specific products, specific verticals, or hold an open forum for everyone. The one thing that all of these groups have in common is that customers are loving them! We’ve gotten a great response to this program. Our surveys are coming back with rave reviews, and I’ve received many emails from excited attendees and organizers.
Where do we go from here?
We’re happy that the Atlassian user groups are taking off, and we’re cooking up ideas on how to make them even better.
- For starters…
- The User Group space we host on Confluence is in desperate need of a redesign.
- We are working on a way to get organizers from different cities to collaborate and share ideas with each other.
- We’re going to try to send more Atlassians to meet-ups
We will continuously improve the program to ensure every organizer has the power to make their group unique and get the support they need from us to make it a success!
If you have ideas or feedback I would love to here them.
