I’ve been heads down the last six months or so before AtlasCamp, working on the next generation of the Atlassian Plugins framework used by all our products, and at the conference, I had a chance to come up for air and share what we’ve been working on.
These videos cover the current state of Atlassian Plugins 2, and where we want to go in the future, respectively. AtlasCamp was great because the information truly flowed in both directions, as you’ll see in the second video, when the attendees broke into groups to come up with a laundry list of ways the plugin system is awesome and ways it could be even more awesome. Interestingly, the number one requested improvement was “Lack of integration/functional testing frameworks and examples”. It was this type of practical feedback that made the conference so much fun – no fluff, just dev to dev.
