We believe in a structural approach to diversity, equity, and inclusion work that spans across how we hire, promote and retain our people.

Employee Resource Groups

The Atlassian Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) play a vital role in fostering an authentic culture of inclusion. Since launching in 2022, we’re proud that over 10% of Atlassians now participate in one or more of our nine communities. These communities include Disability at Atlassian, Atlassian Asian Alliance, Juntos, Vetlassians, Black Atlassian Group, Atlassian Pride, Atlassian Faith In Action, South Asian Atlassians, Women+ Atlassians.  

Human connection is at the heart of our culture. To support connection in a distributed world, we provide funding for meaningful activities that build community and compensate ERG leaders for their work, time, and effort in managing their communities.

Equitable and inclusive hiring

We remain steadfast in our commitment to increasing the representation of underrepresented groups at Atlassian. We continue to embed bias mitigation across our hiring and talent processes. We empower leaders with training to support them in building diverse and inclusive teams, drive diversity, equity, and inclusion outcomes, transparently measure hiring outcomes, and establish strong partnerships with non-profits that support underrepresented groups in accessing tech career opportunities.

Wellbeing and employee support

As a distributed team, wellness and support remains a key priority. Every Atlassian has access to a number of tools to support their mental, social and financial health.

Some of our offerings include:

  • Free and confidential tools to help you navigate your mental wellbeing. This includes coaching and therapy.
  • Personalised fertility health and family-forming support.

  • 5 paid days per year to support your local community such as volunteerism or advocating for a cause.
