Of course! We offer a Free plan for Jira Software for up to 10 users, 2GB of storage, and Community Support. If you'd like to add more than 10 users or get access to more support and storage, you can sign up for a 7-day free trial of our Standard or Premium plan. 

What is a Jira Software user? show +
  

A Jira Software user is any user that can login to your Jira Software site and exists in User Management.

How are users counted towards billing? show +
  

You can add and remove users as your team changes. At the end of each monthly billing cycle, you will be billed for the following month's subscription based on the exact number of Jira Software users you have.

Do you offer annual subscriptions? show +
  

Yes! For annual subscriptions, you will be billed for the tier that most closely matches your user count. Annual subscriptions may offer a discount depending on the number of users purchased.

Monthly subscriptions are payable by credit card (MasterCard, Visa, or American Express), or PayPal. Annual subscriptions can be paid via credit card, bank transfer, or check.

What happens if I'm not satisfied with my Jira Software purchase? show +
  

If you're not satisfied with any Atlassian Cloud product or service, we offer a refund within your first paid month after your trial period for monthly subscriptions, and within 30 days of payment for annual subscriptions. No questions asked.

Can I try Jira Software for free?

Of course! You can host a fully functional copy of Jira Software on your own hardware for 30 days for free. Simply download Jira Software to get started.

If you love it (and we think you will), you can continue using Jira Software by simply updating your existing instance with a purchased license key. Jira Software licenses can be purchased online.

What is a Jira Software user?

A Jira Software user is any user that has full access to all of the features and functionality that we've built into Jira Software specifically for software teams. This includes, but is not limited to: scrum and kanban boards, over a dozen reports (including a Burndown Chart, Control Chart, and Sprint Report), and deep developer tool integrations.

Do you offer discounts for academic institutions?

Qualified academic institutions receive a 50% discount on server licenses with more than 10 users.

What is included with my license purchase?

We believe the Jira Software licensing scheme is simple, upfront and equitable.

Our Server licenses entitle you to perpetual use, and include 12 months maintenance (updates/support) starting from the date of purchase. Renewing maintenance is entirely optional.

Data Center is offered on an annual term license that includes updates and support as long as your term license is active. Data Center licenses expire and are not perpetual like our server licenses.

What payment options do you accept?

Self-hosted (Server) licenses can be paid via Credit Card, Bank Transfer, Check, or ACH (US banks only). Please note that 10-User Starter licenses must be paid via Credit Card. 

What happens if I am not satisfied with my Jira Software purchase?

If you're not satisfied with any Atlassian product or service, we offer a 30-day money-back guarantee, no questions asked. As proceeds from the 10 user Server licenses are donated to charity, the purchase of these licenses can not be refunded.
