What's the difference between your cloud and self-managed options? show +

Our cloud products provide a complete SaaS solution, ready-made for all Atlassian customers. With cloud, we do the heavy lifting for you by providing built-in platform security and compliance, quick and simple set up, and financially backed SLAs for uptime and performance. Cloud comes with the added benefit of continuous innovation so your end-users will always have the latest and greatest features and functionality.

Our Data Center products enable you the flexibility to deploy on an infrastructure of your choice. It’s best for those who have unique or complex operating requirements or need to scale beyond our current cloud user tiers. You’ll have complete control over data management, security and compliance, when you upgrade, and how you manage uptime and performance. We recommend Data Center for those who have stricter requirements and can’t move to cloud just yet.

Learn more about the differences.

Please note: We will be ending sales for new server licenses on February 2, 2021 PT and ending of support for server on February 2, 2024 PT.

When should I choose the Premium plan over the Standard plan? show +

Confluence Cloud Premium provides an advanced toolkit to help admins better manage their Confluence site with more visibility and control. New product features give administrators temporary access to restricted pages to resolve permissions issues fast. Analytics also offers deeper insights about your team’s site, space, and page use for better reporting, resource decisions, and content.

For organizations who need confidence in their ability to scale, the Premium plan also offers 24/7 Premium Support with 1 hour response times for critical issues, unlimited storage, and a 99.9% uptime SLA financially backed by service credits.

What happens if I exceed the Free plan's user limit? show +

When you exceed the Free plan's user limit, we'll automatically upgrade you to a free trial of the Standard plan. No payment information is required and you can cancel any time.

Confluence Cloud Premium allows teams to scale reliably and confidently with unlimited storage, a financially backed 99.9% uptime SLA, and 24/7 Premium Support. In addition our Premium plan gives admins and end users product features for more visibility and control.

Think of Atlassian Access as your “umbrella policy” for enterprise-grade security and user management in the cloud. Atlassian Access enables admins to enforce consistent, company-wide security and access policies across all Atlassian cloud products being used within their organization.

When you layer Access with our Premium plans, you’ll get an enterprise-grade solution for scaling and securing Atlassian cloud content and users across your organization.
