Cloud product investments

Last updated: September 15, 2023

In the past 12 months, we’ve released security enhancements and new product features to unify your teams and drive greater collaboration such as:

  • External user security: Allow admins to enforce 2FA for external users, such as contractors, through a one-time password (OTP) to allow them access to your content.
  • HIPAA compliance: Available across Jira Software, Confluence, and now Jira Service Management to ensure comprehensive privacy and security protections that enable you to operate our products in compliance with HIPAA.
  • Atlassian Analytics: Gives you pre-modeled and enriched data in the platform. That way, you can start actioning on your data immediately and can use that data to drive accountability to goals and make informed decisions on how to allocate resources.
  • Atlassian Intelligenc (Beta): Your new virtual teammate that accelerates your work with the power of AI through internal models and our collaboration with OpenAI.

Atlassian Access

We have been making improvements to Atlassian Access over the last 12 months. Here are some highlights:

  • External user security: Collaborate with users outside of of your organization or managed domains (e.g. contractors). Allows admins to enforce 2FA for external users through a one-time password (OTP) for content access and minimize security risks from external users.
  • App access rule: A new data security policy that allows admins to restrict app access to specific Atlassian instances, Confluence Spaces, or Jira Projects
  • JSM SSO: Jira Service Management and Atlassian Access will support single sign-on (SSO) for portal-only customers. This helps external users leverage the authentication credentials you already have for them.
  • Azure AD for nested groups: This custom integration supports flattening nested groups between Azure AD and Atlassian Cloud.
  • Public Links: Gives admins controls and visibility to allow/deny public sharing capabilities.
