Become an Atlassian Certified System Administrator
Atlassian System Administrators manage installation and back-end configuration, monitor diagnostics, troubleshoot system performance, and partner with Application Administrators to keep Atlassian products secure, up-to-date and performing optimally for all their teams.
The Atlassian System Administrator exam will retire on 28 February 2021.
Active credential holders will be recognized by Atlassian until 2 February 2024. See Your Certification's valid period, below.
- You are a skilled administrator of server-class operating systems.
- You have at least one to two years of experience with system administration for Jira and Confluence, including installing, configuring, upgrading, and troubleshooting.
- You can analyze and respond to performance diagnostics.
- You can plan and execute migrations.
- You are very familiar with typical system administration responsibilities related to networking, databases and user directories.
- You grasp the fundamentals of JVM.

ACP exams are intended to be challenging – increase your chances of success with careful preparation!
- Download the Exam Topics and evaluate your readiness.
- Get hands-on practice across all the topics, paying particular attention to functionalities you work with less often.
- Consult the Atlassian product documentation to learn about nuances of each topic that you may be unfamiliar with.
- If you typically use a localized product, use the English version to prepare for the exam, so that you'll be familiar with the names of menu options and other product features.
- Be sure you have a high-level awareness of how to work with the application administrators to configure Jira and Confluence for your team's needs.

Steps to get certified
Step 1 - Review the Online Exam Setup Guide
- To prepare for your online exam, download our Online Proctored Exam Setup Guide to view the detailed system requirements and setup instructions at least 48 hours before your exam appointment.
- If you can't meet the system requirements, you can cancel your online exam appointment and schedule a new exam appointment in a Testing Center.
- Cancelling or rescheduling an appointment within 48 hours of the original appointment will result in forfeiture of the paid exam fee.

Step 2 – CREATE or ACCESS YOUR CERTIFICATION PORTAL ACCOUNT
- Create or access your account. Make sure your first and last name in your account matches your government-issued ID.
- You'll be assigned an Atlassian Testing ID, which uniquely identifies you in the Atlassian Certification Program.
- You'll be able to schedule exams, download e-certificates, manage your credentials and share digital badges to social media from the Certification Portal.

STEP 3 – PURCHASE & SCHEDULE YOUR EXAM
- Schedule and pay for your exam from the Certification Portal. This is also where you can reschedule or cancel.
- Payment is by credit card or voucher. Pay particular attention to the refund and rescheduling policies.
- Select and register for the Online Proctored or Testing Center version of the exam.

STEP 4 – Prepare your environment for the exam
- To prepare for your online exam, download our Online Proctored Exam Setup Guide to view the detailed system requirements and setup instructions at least 48 hours before your exam appointment.
- Please disable firewalls or use a computer without a corporate firewall. Firewalls may interfere with installing the secure browser needed to take the test. You should use a computer on which you have the privileges needed to install applications. The secure browser app is a web browser to guarantee securely proctored exam over a virtual connection in a restricted environment.
- Go through the System Compatibility Check at https://home.psiexams.com/static/#/bcheck. This is only the minimum requirements. If you encounter unexpected additional issues, please contact PSI Bridge Tech Support Team in advance for help.

STEP 5 – TAKE THE EXAM
- Log into the Certification Portal at least 30 minutes prior to your exam time. Make sure all applications are closed and that you have your ID ready. Click Schedule and Launch an Exam.
- Launch your exam to start installing the Secure Browser app. Once installed then the app will launch. If it does not launch, double click on the PSI Secure Browser icon on your Desktop.
- Next, you will begin the Photo & ID Verification and Room Scan process. Once everything is reviewed and approved by the proctor, then the exam will be ready for you to click Start.

AFTER THE EXAM
Passed? Congratulations, you're an Atlassian Certified Professional!
- After 24 hours, log in to the Certification Portal and verify your Certified status.
- We'll send you an email explaining how to download your e-Certificate, share your credentials online, add your new digital badge to your email signature, and provide your transcript to others.
- Your Certification will be valid for 24 months.
Didn't pass?

You'll need to wait 7 days before you can re-register, but we recommend taking some extra time.

Your Certification's valid period
Because this credential is retiring on 2 February 2024, you are no longer required to maintain it every 24 months.
If you newly earn this Certification between 15 October 2020 and 28 February 2021, your credential will initially be valid for 24 months. After 28 February 2021, Atlassian will extend your Certification through 2 February 2024.
If you already hold this Certification and it was in Active or Suspended status on 15 October 2020, Atlassian will extend your Certification through 2 February 2024.
