Note: If you are using Confluence Team Calendars, Confluence Questions, Confluence SharePoint Connector or any other add-on, the add-on licenses must match the user count and type of the parent product. For instance, a 500 User Commercial Confluence Server license will require a 500 User Commercial Confluence Team Calendars license.

Starter licenses (10 Users) are not upgradeable. If you are using a Starter license and wish to move to a higher user tier, you can purchase a new license for the number of users who will be using Confluence.

If you are currently using another legacy license; not shown in the table above; please Contact Us our for assistance.

5. I'm a legacy Confluence Server 2000 or 2000+ User license holder, what are my next steps?

The Confluence 2000 and Confluence 2000+ User Server licenses were retired on 02-Nov-2012. Existing customers with one of these legacy server licenses are eligible for grandfathering for up to two (2) additional years. After the Confluence grandfathering period ends, legacy server license holders have the option to renew at the Confluence Server license tier of their choice.

Confluence Grandfathering

  • if your license expires on or before 2-Nov-2014, you can still renew ONE LAST TIME for ONE MORE YEAR at the old rates. You can also renew your old Confluence 2000+ user license one more time for one more year.
  • if your license expires on or after 3-Nov-2014, you HAVE to renew based on the current pricing. Additionally, if you own Confluence 2000+ user license, that can no longer be renewed as is and you will need to renew as either Confluence 10,000 users or 10,000+ users.

Upgrades include 12 months of software maintenance commencing from the date payment is processed. This will override any existing maintenance period.
