Atlassian is updating the price of our Cloud products on October 3, 2019.

Over the past year we’ve made a number of enhancements to modernize and build our Cloud platform and products for the future. We’ve developed advanced incident management capabilities, designed a new agile development experience, reimagined our content creation and collaboration experience, enhanced our Cloud infrastructure, strengthened our integrations, and much more. This price increase allows us to continue to invest in R&D and accelerate our Cloud products and platform into the future as we build ahead of your needs. Our goal is to provide the scale, reliability, security, and product capabilities you’ve come to expect from Atlassian.

This section provides FAQs related to the upcoming pricing changes and detailed pricing tables by product and user tier. Pricing will not go into effect until October 3, 2019. If you would like to talk to us directly, please contact our support team.

General Questions

What prices are changing on October 3rd, 2019? Show

Die Preiserhöhung betrifft alle neuen und vorhandenen Cloud-Lizenzen. Davon ausgenommen sind nur Atlassian Access, Jira Software Premium, Confluence Premium und Cloud-Apps von Atlassian (Portfolio for Jira, Team Calendars for Confluence, Confluence Questions).   • Wenn du eine bestehende Lizenz mit Monatsabonnement hast, erscheinen in allen ab einschließlich dem 3. Oktober 2019 erstellten Abrechnungen die neuen Preise für die bestehenden Lizenzen. Weitere Informationen zur Berechnung des monatlichen Preises findest du hier.
  • Wenn du eine bestehende Lizenz mit Jahresabonnement hast, werden in allen ab einschließlich dem 3. Oktober 2019 erstellten oder geänderten Angeboten die neuen Preise für die bestehenden Lizenzen berücksichtigt.
  • Wenn du eine bestehende Lizenz mit Jahresabonnement automatisch verlängern lässt, erscheinen in allen ab einschließlich dem 3. Oktober 2019 erstellten Abrechnungen die neuen Preise für die bestehenden Lizenzen. Bitte beachte, dass für alle offenen Angebote, die vor dem 3. Oktober 2019 erstellt wurden, bis zu dem auf dem Angebot angegebenen Ablaufdatum die alten Preise gelten.
  • Bei bestehenden Lizenzen mit automatischer Verlängerung wird die bei uns angegebene Kreditkarte bei Verlängerungen ab einschließlich dem 3. Oktober 2019 mit den neuen Preisen für die bestehenden Lizenzen belastet.

Billing / Licensing - General

How can I reduce my bill? Show

If you’re looking to lower your monthly bill, here are a few strategies:

  • If you can identify users that aren't using your Cloud product(s), deactivate them so they no longer count towards your monthly bill.
  • Convert to an annual subscription. Annual subscriptions may offer a discount that equates to up to 2 months free on an annual basis, depending on the number of users purchased.

If you're looking to lower your annual bill there are a few strategies for doing this:

  • If you can identify users that aren't using your Cloud product(s), deactivate them to reduce your user count and contact us to downgrade to a lower tier.
  • If you're only a billing or technical contact (within my.atlassian.com), you can contact us to have your subscription converted.
If I already have a quote for an annual subscription with the old pricing, will you still honor it? Show

If you are a new customer and have a quote for an annual subscription before October 3, 2019 we will honor that quote under the prior pricing until it expires. Existing quotes will be honored until they are deleted. Once a quote is deleted it will not be restored and you will need to pay the new pricing. Quotes generated on or after October 3, 2019 for an existing license will be based on the new price for existing licenses. Quotes generated on or after October 3, 2019 for a new license will be based on the new price for new licenses.

Can I renew my Cloud subscription early? Show

Customers with a Cloud subscription automatically receive a no-obligation quote to renew their subscription 60 days before it expires. We're not able to generate a quote for customers outside of that window, however, customers up for renewal starting on October 3, 2019 do have 90 days notice as of the announcement (September 3, 2019) of what the pricing will be at their next renewal.

What if I have an open quote for a renewal, upgrade, or downgrade? Show

We will honor all existing quotes generated before October 3, 2019. If a quote is edited after October 3, 2019, then any changes will reflect the new pricing for an exisitng license.

Are the prices of apps in the Marketplace increasing? Show

Pricing for Marketplace vendor apps (or non-Atlassian 3rd party apps) are not changing as a direct result of Atlassian's price changes. However, Marketplace vendors can adjust their pricing at anytime, so please check marketplace.atlassian.com for up-to-date app pricing information.

If I'm an existing Cloud customer prior to October 3, 2019, will I pay new license pricing at my next monthly or annual renewal? Show

If you have an existing license prior to October 3, 2019, you will pay the new existing license price outlined in these pricing tables at your next monthly or annual renewal after October 3, 2019. If you are an existing customer and purchase a new license after October 3, 2019 you will pay the new license price.

Will Academic discounts change too? Show

Academic discounts will remain the same, you will still receive 50% off list price for both new purchases and renewals.

Will Community discounts change too? Show

Community discounts will remain the same, you will still receive 75% off of the Cloud list price for both new purchases and renewals.

Do existing licenses have to pay the new license prices at their next renewal? Show

No, customers with existing licenses will receive a moderate increase at their annual renewals to help ease into our new prices.

Wenn ich meine Benutzerstufe nach dem 3. Oktober 2019 aktualisiere, muss ich dann den neuen Lizenzpreis bezahlen? Show

Wenn du deine Benutzerstufe vor oder nach dem 3. Oktober 2019 erhöhst, gelten für dich die bestehenden Lizenzpreise. Die neuen Lizenzpreise werden dir nicht berechnet.

Wenn ich nach dem 3. Oktober 2019 ein neues Produkt zu meiner Cloud-Site hinzufüge, muss ich dann den neuen Lizenzpreis bezahlen? Show

Wenn du nach dem 3. Oktober 2019 ein neues Produkt zu deiner bestehenden Cloud-Site hinzufügst, zahlst du für dieses Produkt den neuen Lizenzpreis und für die Produkte deiner Site, die vor dem 3. Oktober 2019 gekauft wurden, weiterhin den bestehenden Lizenzpreis.
