Integrate Confluence and JIRA Agile for Collaborative Agile Program Management
Peter Callies, Surescripts

About the speaker
Peter Callies, VP Product Development Lifecycle, Surescripts
Peter Callies has been involved in developing software for over 20 years, first as a developer writing C, SQL, and PowerBuilder (state of the art in the early 90's). He grew into Java and XML, designing and developing a couple high-volume transaction routing applications before moving into management about ten years ago.
In his current position at Surescripts, Peter is responsible for the overall product development system that is enabled by 13 teams. Surescripts uses Scrum at the team level and an overall system similar to the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). Peter coordinates closely with the enterprise portfolio manager, the Product Management group, the PMO, the architects, and the functional managers to ensure the system of development is functioning as smoothly as possible.
Surescripts has been using JIRA for four years and last year introduced Confluence. Peter administers and configures both systems.
