Developers, want your team to go from bad to badass? Want to learn workflows, tools and processes that your team can use to work better together and deploy software faster? Then plan your trip to San Francisco, October 1-3, for Atlassian Summit 2013!

Industry leaders from organizations like Turner Broadcasting, Orbitz, and NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory will share the stage with Atlassian executives, developers and other specialists to discuss the latest on Git, Agile Delivery, CI and DevOps. They’ll discuss and review the good, the bad and the ugly of their teams’ experiences and offer concrete recommendations to help you improve workflows, roll out training and improve processes. You’ll walk away with knowledge of how to ensure a fast-moving, quality-driven and innovative team-based development environment.

Top Summit 2013 developer sessions include:

  • Adopting Continuous Integration in an Ops Group – Chief Engineer in the Infrastructure & Operations group at Turner Broadcasting, Daniel Wester, works on developer tooling and building websites at scale. He’ll discuss how his team uses CI to achieve their goals, and how they’ve become evangelists for the organization.
  • Atlassian in Space! – With 30 years of experience as a software developer, David Mittman currently heads a product delivery management group at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California where he develops new operations technologies for NASA’s robotic spacecraft. David will talk about their agile software platform for rocket scientists, and discuss how agile teams at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory and other NASA centers use Jira, Jira Agile, Confluence, Bamboo and Fisheye to develop software that plans activities for the Mars rover and parses raw data sent to earth from unmanned spacecraft.
  • Flying at the Speed of Git – Senior software engineer Alex Holtz from Orbitz will share how Stash’s integration with Jira saved his team hundreds of hours when his team made the switch to Git and replaced the need to build custom integration points for each new tool they added to their customer version control system.
  • How We Killed Our Process, Technology Stack, and Assumptions — and Survived – Jason Lotito, Application Architect at MeetMe.com, will reveal the challenges his team encountered while changing their development process (centered around Jira Agile), highlighting the perils and payoffs of adding new technology to the stack.
  • Git Workflows à la carte – Atlassian’s Stash developer Nicola Paolucci will discuss how enterprises can choose a Git workflow to increase productivity and reduce a team’s friction, through the battle-tested practices of successful teams that moved to Git.
