Mylyn plugin for JIRA

In this demo, Michael Cote at Redmonk talks with Mik Kersten who demonstrates the JIRA connector for Mylyn. Mik shows us how the JIRA connector is used to provide a rich, desktop interface for the JIRA issue tracker and then shows how the "self micro-managing" features of Mylyn layer on-top of JIRA.

Developers really do have a language of their own, one which can be hard for non-developers to decipher. A terse sentence fired over IM can communicate reams of information.

"It's a kludge, but put the tuple from the database in the cache."

The problem is — as this video shows — even developers themselves can have a hard time understanding each other.

Gliffy plugin for Confluence

We're already finding the Gliffy plugin indispensable. It adds a whole new dimension to collaboration on your team. You can convey so much more by drawing, and now you're not dependent uploading a Photoshop or Visio or MSPaint file just to sketch a simple concept.
