• How does University licensing work?

  Users must sign up using a company email domain.  Any user who has completed 1 or more lesson per course will count towards the license total for their company. For example, if a user has access to the JIRA course and the Confluence course, but has only completed JIRA lessons, that user will have used a JIRA license, but not a Confluence license.  Once a company has used all purchased licenses, no new users will be allowed to sign up.

• Does my University license tier have to match my JIRA/Confluence/GreenHopper license tier?

  Yes, the number of users on the University license that you purchase must match the number of users on the JIRA/Confluence/GreenHopper license listed in your my.atlassian.com account. For example: if you own JIRA 100 users, you must purchase the 100 user license of University.

  If you have multiple licenses for the same product listed in your MAC account, you can choose which license of that product you would like to buy University for. For example: if you own JIRA 50 users and JIRA 100 users, you may purchase either University for JIRA 50 users or 100 users.

  You must own a license for the product you are attempting to purchase University for.

• What does the subscription include?

  The annual subscription includes unlimited access for all courses of the Atlassian product you have purchased for a 12 month period (beginning on your purchase date). You can re-take the lessons as many times as you wish.  New lessons and product releases are also included in your subscription.  For example, if you have purchased University for JIRA, and new lessons for an upgraded JIRA product are released, you will automatically have access to these lessons.

• My company is spread across multiple domains. Can all of us access University?

  Yes, multiple domains can have access to the same University account.  In the administration console, the administrator can grant access for multiple domains.  University currently does not allow generic email domains (e.g. gmail.com, hotmail.com). Administrators can also grant access to individual emails not tied to the listed domains.  

• How do I invite co-workers to University?

  We've created an email invitation for you, click here to invite your co-workers. You can also direct your co-workers to signup and register through the following link: http://university.atlassian.com/signup,  Please note that only email addresses with a company domain will be granted access to sign up.

• Are there courses available for other Atlassian products?

  There are currently 3 University courses: JIRA, Confluence and GreenHopper. There are no immediate plans to add additional courses for other products.

• What browsers does University support?

  University supports the current and previous major releases of Firefox, Chrome, Safari and Internet Explorer on a rolling basis.  For the best user experience, we recommend using a screen resolution of 1280x800 or higher.

• How can I give feedback and file bugs for University?

  There is a general feedback button in the header.  We monitor and react to this feedback to ensure that the users continue to have the best possible experience.

• What is the outline of University Courses?

  Please visit here for an outline of our offered courses.  It gives you the lesson name, brief overview and approximate time it takes to complete each individual lesson.

• What product versions does University support?

  University currently offers lessons for the following:

  • JIRA 5.2, 5.1, 5.0, 4.4
  • Confluence 5.0, 4.3, 4.0, 3.5
  • Greenhopper 6.0, 5.9, 5.7

• What is the Refund policy for Atlassian University?

  Refunds will not be issued for 10 user licenses.  For all other license types, refunds will be considered on a case by case basis within the first 30 days.
