Confluence Clustered offers additional scalability and higher availability!

You have the option of running Confluence in a clustered environment instead of on a single server. The clustered configuration improves performance for organisations that demand higher availability or have a large number of concurrent users.

Who is it for?

Confluence Clustered is designed to be deployed in environments where:

  • higher availability of Confluence is desired (not HA)
  • performance can be improved by the addition of Clustered nodes
  • a physical server will be dedicated to each Clustered node
  • nodes are located within a low latency network, such as a LAN
  • a staging as well as a production environment are available
  • a separate hardware or software load balancer is available
  • two networks are available, one for database/cluster and the other for HTTP traffic
