Clover 2.5 Released

Test Optimization now available for your IDE and functional tests

With the release of Clover 2.5, we have taken Test Optimization to a new level with some very significant improvements. You can now take advantage of Test Optimization directly from Eclipse and IntelliJ IDEA with the click of a button. We have also added Test Optimization for functional testing or acceptance testing since these types of tests tend to benefit the most.

Stimulus Package raises over $100K

We recently ran the Atlassian Stimulus Package hoping to sell around 5,000 licenses and generate $25,000 for Room to Read. Well, we were way off the mark. Here are some stats:

  • We hit our goal of $25,000 in just 23 hours
  • After 5 days, 7,286 organizations purchased $5 licenses
  • 13,126 licenses were sold
  • $100,370 dollars was raised for Room to Read!

From Generalists to Specialists

A while back Atlassian reached $100 million in all time revenue. We've asked some of our employees to give us their take on how they've seen the company grow. Better late than never, VP of Engineering, Soren Harner:

When I joined Atlassian in 2007, we had one-third the number of people in product development we have today, crammed into two rooms in a small office on George St. in the Sydney CBD. Bicycles were parked in all corners, and there were no showers, which made pair programming a challenge in the summer. All but two people wrote code, including the occasional juicy tidbit from co-CEOs Mike and Scott. JIRA and Confluence had half the customers they have today. Crowd and Bamboo were under construction but not released into the wild.

Bamboo plugins for Git and GitHub

In just the last few weeks, there have been several great developments for Bamboo users looking to move their source to Git or GitHub. What started as a FedEx project for Don Brown, our Integration Architect, quickly evolved into the Bamboo Git Repository Plugin thanks to the help of Jaun Alonso "slnc" and several others. Now, Andy Pols has stepped up with a GitHub Repository Plugin.
