1. What does a new GreenHopper license cost?
We believe the GreenHopper licensing scheme is simple, upfront and equitable. Our software licenses entitle you to perpetual use, and include 12 months maintenance (updates/support) commencing from the date of purchase. Renewing maintenance is entirely optional.

Note: GreenHopper is a plugin for JIRA. The GreenHopper license type and user count must match that of the JIRA license it is being used with. For instance, a 25 User Commercial JIRA license will require a 25 User Commercial GreenHopper license.
2. How much is it to renew my GreenHopper software maintenance?
All non-free licenses include 12 months of software maintenance (support and product updates). Beyond this initial 12 month period, you may renew your software maintenance for another 12 months* at our discounted renewal prices.

Atlassian automatically sends a no-obligation quote 90 days before the maintenance is to expire on a license. However, customers can request a quote at any time from the Quote & Order Form; see this FAQ for more details.
*Maintenance renewals commence from the expiration of your active maintenance period, regardless of when the maintenance renewal is purchased. If you intend to renew, we recommend renewing at least 30 days before expiration.
3. What is the cost to upgrade my GreenHopper license to a higher user tier?
You will be pleased to know that you can upgrade GreenHopper at any time. The upgrade process is very simple, and all your data is preserved. Upgrades include 12 months of software maintenance commencing from the date payment is processed. This will override any existing maintenance period.

Note: A GreenHopper license must match the user count and type of the JIRA license it is being used with. When upgrading a JIRA license you will need to upgrade the GreenHopper license to continue using the GreenHopper plugin. For instance, a 50 > 100 User Commercial JIRA license upgrade will require a 50 > 100 User Commercial GreenHopper license upgrade.
4. How do I request a quote?
Requesting an obligation-free quote is easy! You will just need to submit your request through our Quote & Order Form. In the final step check "Get a Quote" and click submit. Only quotes submitted though our online form are considered valid, screen prints of the shopping cart is not the same as a quote.
5. Does my GreenHopper license have to match my JIRA license?
Yes, GreenHopper is a plugin for JIRA. The GreenHopper license type and user count must match that of the JIRA license it is being used with. For instance, a 25 User Commercial JIRA license will require a 25 User Commercial GreenHopper license. This also means if the JIRA license is upgraded then the GreenHopper license will require upgrading to be compatible with the upgraded JIRA license.
Atlassian made the decision to tie the licenses together to:
- minimize the administration overhead incurred;
- make GreenHopper available to all JIRA users; and
- focus GreenHopper development efforts on new functionality.
6. How is GreenHopper licensed?
A GreenHopper commercial/academic license entitles you to:
- Install GreenHopper on a single instance of JIRA in a production environment on 1 server
- Perpetual GreenHopper use
- Software maintenance for 12 months - including all updates and online support (from Sydney, Australia and San Francisco, USA during local business hours)
- Full source code (under a developer source license which allows for broad customization)
A GreenHopper license must match the user count and type of the JIRA license it is being used with. For instance, a 25 User Commercial JIRA license will require a 25 User Commercial GreenHopper license.
An academic license is available for qualified educational and academic institutions (learn more).

1. What applications and add-ons can be used with GreenHopper in Atlassian OnDemand?
GreenHopper is an add-on in the JIRA family and requires JIRA as its base product.

Note: Adding JIRA Family products to active Confluence Family-only instances is not currently supported. If you plan to use JIRA with Confluence, we recommend adding it to your trial when it's created. We plan to remove this restriction as quickly as possible.

2. Where can I sign up for an evaluation?
Atlassian OnDemand can be evaluated free for one month. Visit Try Atlassian OnDemand to start a one-month day evaluation.
Already using OnDemand? To add GreenHopper and other products to your existing subscription, visit the OnDemand configuration page and choose the products you'd like to add. You'll automatically get a free one-month trial of any new products before their cost is added to your subscription.
3. How much is an Atlassian OnDemand subscription?
We offer a la carte pricing for OnDemand. Your subscription starts with JIRA and/or Confluence as its foundation. From there, you can choose from available add-ons (e.g. GreenHopper) and additional applications.

4. How can I purchase or request a quote for Atlassian OnDemand?
A quote can be requested for the annual payment option only.
If evaluating Atlassian OnDemand the credit card supplied during signup will automatically be charged at the end of the one-month evaluation. Monthly payment customers can purchase at anytime using a credit card and the first month of paid service will commence at the end of the evaluation period.
To purchase a monthly subscription with a credit card or request an annual payment quote:
- Log into My Atlassian, the account page will display. Atlassian OnDemand will be listed in the Evaluations section.
- Click the '+' sign of your Atlassian OnDemand subscription, your account management screen will display.
- In the Actions section select the desired application(s), Add-on(s) and user levels from the "Configure" screen.
- In the Actions section click "Buy."
- The current service configuration will appear in the Quote & Order Form.
- Select the monthly or annual payment term.
- Click "Add to Cart" and follow the steps to check out.
Once complete, an email will be sent to the named billing and technical contacts with a paid invoice or official quote attached.
5. What is the minimum term of service?
The minimum term of service is one month. You can choose to renew on a month by month basis, or save money by purchasing a year in advance.
6. Is there a discount if I purchase the annual subscription?
Yes, how does two months free sound? Our annual subscriptions cost the equivalent of 10 months but you get 12 months of service.
7. What payment options are available?
Monthly: this payment option is automatically charged to the credit card associated with the Atlassian OnDemand subscription. To update the credit card details please see the How do I change the credit card for my subscription FAQ.
Annual: this payment option can be paid via credit card, mailed check or bank transfer, complete payment details appear on an official quote. A subscription holder can request a quote from their My Atlassian account.
