The Atlassian Hack House
At Atlassian, life's a beach – literally. Last year we took our first class of talented grads and summer interns to a beachside mansion where they worked together to brainstorm, code, and ship a full feature for an Atlassian product.
This year, our second class is moving from the beach to the heart of hipster central – aka Surry Hills in Sydney. Here we will see if they can rise to the challenge set by their Hacklassian predecessors.

Alice Wang
I'm originally from NZ & love to code – it's like solving a large & intricate puzzle. I interned at another company who used the Atlassian tools and after using them found myself wanting to be a part of their design and development. I'm super excited about living in a new country, and rising to the challenges awaiting me at Atlassian.
Joshua Hansen
I'm at Atlassian because it seems to be a place that genuinely cares about developing good software. It's also exciting to kick off my programming career in a rapidly-growing business that is moving from strength to strength. I'm looking forward to working alongside like-minded people and having my skills pushed to the limit.

I am moving from the other side of the world to work at Atlassian and I'm here because it offers an interesting set of products, problems, and tools, along with good holidays and other things. (People, beer, free food). HackHouse seems like an interesting way to do onboarding and I am keen to meet my fellow graduates from all over the world.

Ever since I first had access to the internet as a child, I've had a desire to create things. I joined Atlassian because of the company's values (and product fame!) I think it's important to be part of a culture where the people love what they do, are knowledgeable in their field, and embrace innovation and change. I can't wait to start hacking.

My proudest, and most valuable, achievement during university are the circle of friends and colleagues which I have acquired throughout my studies and at Atlassian I am extremely keen to meet the rest of the graduates who I will be working closely with. After completing my internship at Atlassian in 2011, I couldn't imagine working anywhere else. What makes me an Atlassian is that I have a passion for quality, attention to detail and a drive to succeed in any endeavour.
Robert Massaioli
Atlassian cares about customers, and quality software, the people here uphold the same values that I do and I deeply respect that. In my spare time I've been building an Android game and have previously built an Air Dispenser, Robot Sumo and various puzzles and programs that solve them.

I like to code, read about technology or business, play tennis or badminton, go bike riding and hiking. Atlassian has a strong ability to embrace change and original thinking. I can't wait to be in an environment that has an appreciation of all things clever.

I am looking forward to being challenged like I have never been before, learning tons of new things, meeting crazy / smart / awesome / talented / fun people who are developing kickass products. In my spare time I have built an MP3 jukebox with web front-end and currently am working on an RSS feed aggregator. Like other Atlassians, I am passionate about software quality, and quality user experience. In my spare time I play video games, read books, watch movies and read development blogs.

I enjoy finding and creating new test scenarios - bugs beware. In my spare time I've been building a project to use Selenium for automating the extraction of publicly available text cards details of the game Weiss Schwarz.

In my spare time I like to go to the pub, ski and find bugs in software. I am a no B/S person and want to work with other smart people to change how software development is done
