This role would be accountable for all facets of the Support Engineer training.  To design and deliver Technical and Support training courses and training materials for Application Support Engineers, empowering them to provide Legendary Service!

What You’ll Do

  • Develop framework for creating training curriculums
  • Define the Technical Support training strategy and roadmap
  • Analyze the training needs of support engineers and Identify training gaps within the support organization
  • Develop training curriculum for the Atlassian support organization with Subject Matter Experts
  • Leverage existing training material to develop a scalable training program and deploy training for global support team (soft-skills, troubleshooting, technical, etc.)
  • Ensure all training material is maintained and kept current
  • Co-ordinate the administration of training courses, including developing and managing global training schedule
  • Monitor, evaluate and review the quality and effectiveness of training assessment and outcomes of courses delivered
  • Keep up to date with relevant technology (systems, software and where appropriate programming languages) used within the organization
  • Track and monitor training usage

What You’ve Done:

  • Motivated, no-bullshit self-starter. Creative. Pragmatic. Relaxed yet enthusiastic attitude
  • 4+ years IT Training program design and management experience in a high tech, software company - ideally focused on developer or technical, team-oriented technologies and products
  • BS/BA/IT Degree or equivalent experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent prioritization skills to individually detect and deliver the most important things first
  • Ability to effectively delegate work across virtual teams
  • Ability to build strong peer relationships
  • Analytical capabilities and decision quality
  • Process oriented
  • Customer focus

 

And if you’ve got some of this, great:

  • Experience training technically skilled individuals for whom English is a second language.
  • Experience with Kepner Tregoe training
