This story is less about the philosophy of scrum, but rather how to use JIRA to achieve it, specifically: Estimating user stories with GreenHopper, and managing both Dev and QA estimates, managing test work, ensuring all user stories are test complete at sprint-end and what to do with any incomplete user stories, and more. | |

JIRA Beyond Issue Tracking Michael Mollath, Director IT and Project Management, Ticket Online GmbH |
| Besides our heavy issue tracking (we have more than 25.000 issues) we use JIRA for several internal processes, including Staff vacation requests, deployments, and hard- and software requests. We appreciate JIRA very much for being so flexible that we decided to use it for others processes beside issues tracking. Users are "forced" to use JIRA if the want to go on holidays, and in this way they get used to JIRA and the typical barrier of implementing a new system is lowered much faster. We also use Confluence and FishEye. | |

Call for Speakers!
Submit a short abstract for a 30-minute talk that you'd like to give at Unite. We have a few slots for case studies at each Unite event. Speaker guidelines are pretty simple: you will have 20 minutes to deliver a case study with 10 minutes at the end to take questions. We are looking for talks on JIRA, Confluence, our developer tools, and great integrations with third-party tools. Keep your talks practical and with an emphasis on providing useful tips for other teams.
