Atlassian - Beyond JIRA: Issue by Issue Peer Review
Effective code review is a proven way to improve code quality and increase knowledge transfer in your team. Despite this, code review is often put in the "too hard" basket, because of the difficulties of organising material for review and managing the review workflow. Crucible is Atlassian's answer to these problems; a lightweight, web-based tool that makes code review a breeze.
By connecting Crucible with JIRA via a free plugin, you can easily initiate reviews for project-related commits, see in-progress or completed reviews for each task in JIRA, or conversely learn what bugs and issues are still in need of review.
- Link directly to relevant source code and review comments
- Discover controversial issues - issues that garner the most comments
- Determine which resolved issues are in need of review
Code review dashboard
The FishEye plugin for JIRA will create FishEye and Crucible tabs inside JIRA. The Crucible Project Tab displays the "issues under review" in your project. It can also list all reviews on source-code related to your project.
Crucible uses the capabilities of the FishEye web interface to allow reviewers to view, understand, and offer suggestions about their teammates' check-ins.
