Job description:
The Pre-Sales team is the first point of contact for prospective clients interested in Altassian products. The goal of the Pre-Sales group is to help prospective clients learn more about Atlassian products and to convert an increasing number of those prospective clients into clients.
Pre-Sales is responsible for the entire pre-sales process for new customers, from initial contact to the placement of an order. The goal of this group is to help prospective clients clearly understand the value of Atlassian and the particular application and convert those leads into clients.
Pre-Sales helps educate potential customers by providing both highly technical (product functionality, installation and configuration, requirements gathering and technical workarounds) and non-technical (features, pricing and licensing) pre-sales assistance to inquiries. This is conducted via a high volume of telephone, email, web chat and web based product demonstrations. This is conducted in an very transparent, highly ethical, engaging and helpful manner. From time to time, Pre-Sales also contributes to the creation and evolution of sales tools (website content, video tutorials, quick start guides etc.)
As this role is highly technical in nature, all Pre-Sales staff are expected to quickly learn our applications and related technologies and effectively educate customers on the value and potential impact of each application.

- Knowledge of software technologies (i.e. Java, databases, web delivered applications, etc)
- Related enterprise software (collaboration, issue tracking, project management, software development tools)
- Above all you must be engaging, professional, confident and focused on results
Typical experience:
- Five to eight years of industry experience in technical sales, or related enterprise client facing roles
- A degree in an technology discipline such as Computer Science, Information Technology or Information Systems is preferred
- Enterprise sales experience
- Software development experience/exposure
